I used to bask in Saturday Morning cartoons. The simple approach, the whacky antics, and crazy characters; I loved everything about them. Cuphead looks like a testament to those that used to do the same.
The first game by Studio MDHR, Cubhead looks to provide a run and gun sidescroller with the personality of a playable classic cartoon. The overall look is a standout on its own, but the developers are also promising a retro game experience, making it anything but a pushover in terms of difficulty.
Co-operative play has already been showcased, but deep details about the game have been pretty hush hush. The most we know is we can expect continuous boss fights, as well as an RPG overworld to choose different worlds.
Cuphead is slated for release later this year. Hopefully we will see more out of E3.
