What if you played a video game where if you were to die once, you could never play it again.
That is the whole idea behind Upsilon Circuit. Eight players will enter the game while everyone else will wait in line for their turn, spectating each player's attempt.
The Spectator's will actually be gaining experience from all the monsters killed and use that to level the players up. Taken from their website [1]:
Simply put, the Audience is part dungeon master, part strategist, and part judge & jury.
The game seems like an interesting social experience akin to watching gladiators in a Colosseum, but could that make for a fun overall game or open up a potential survival genre? That would have to be seen further along the development. Needless to say, it is something to keep your eye on.
