Batman: Arkham City Coming 2011
After making one of the best superhero games ever created, the team that brought you Batman: Arkham Asylum has confirmed a fall 2011 release date for the next installment.
Rocksteady Studios takes the helm once again, and has players taking Batman into Arkham City, the new maximum security home for all of Gotham City's criminals. Unlike Arkham Asylum's island local, this is a heavily fortified prison in the heart of Gotham City.
It's been stated the story "draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight," according to a press release.
If you can't wait for more information, the newest issue of Game Informer will be sure to shed more light on the details. Though it is a while off, it is nice to have an estimate slapped on. I was expecting a 2012 release date myself, but sooner is better than latter in most cases.
